RECREATION ASSISTANT – LONG HILL TOWNSHIP, Morris County is seeking a Part-time Recreation Assistant who, under supervision, assists in the planning, organization, development and promotion of recreation activities. Assists in the preparation of registration and financial records and completion of reports. Assists in all other projects as assigned by the Recreation Director. Ideal candidate would have computer proficiency in various programs including Excel and Community Pass, professional demeanor in handling telephone inquiries and in-person public interaction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle physical demands of the position including movement and transport of sports equipment, files, and materials for programs/events. Program Supervisor of Athletic & Aquatic Services-Township of Livingston (Essex County) Senior, Youth, and Leisure Services Department 

The position manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of all Athletic and Aquatics programs for youth and adults. The individual would be responsible for supervising all Athletic Recreation, volunteer coaches, and Aquatic Life guards and staff. Candidates must have experience in recruiting and training staff, program scheduling, coordination and communication with partner organizations, and creating, monitoring, and making recommendations for budget lines. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration, Physical Education or related field. Demonstrated experience in recreation programming, athletics, aquatics and the delivery of leisure services for at least three (3) years with progressive responsibilities that includes supervisory and budgeting experience is also required. Certified Pool Operator Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of date set by management.
