Presentation: Summer Programs: Operational and Management Issues? (.3 CEUs pending)
Every winter and spring Recreation Departments across the state are planning their Summer Programs. Do you call it a summer camp, summer program or a summer playground program? Do you do the same thing year after year? Or do you try to keep up with the changing environment? Have you updated your Employee Handbook in the last ten years? Do you meet the State requirements for Summer Camps? How do you handle cell phones, social media, transgender patrons, and Homeland Security issues? Presenters will touch on important concerns we all have – or should. Bring your questions and ideas.
