NJRPA Student Scholarship Program

NJRPA provides opportunities for university and high school students to advance their education in the field of parks, recreation, conservation, and leisure services through both scholarship and a professional development support program.

The NJRPA Student Scholarship is a competitive scholarship open to both current students involved in related studies at a university or college, and to high school seniors that interested in entering a parks, recreation, conservation, leisure services or related curriculum. Applications are reviewed each winter and scholarship winners are announced at the NJRPA Annual Conference. Applicants for the Student Scholarship must have a letter of recommendation.

NJRPA Professional Scholarship Program

The George T. Cron Memorial Scholarship program is available to all parks and recreation professionals living in or working in Somerset or Union Counties. This grant program was established by Ms. Margaret H. Bascom Cron in memory of her late husband.  Up to $1,000 per year is available to a recipient who applies the scholarship toward advancing their professional development.
