Since 1915, The New Jersey State League of Municipalities has been serving local officials throughout the Garden State. This voluntary association was created primarily to help municipalities do a better job of self-government by providing pooled information resources and valuable mentorship opportunities. All 565 municipalities are members of the league. Of the member municipalities, over 560 mayors and 13,000 elected and appointed officials are entitled to all of the services and privileges offered through the League. The Community Recreation Section of NJRPA is an affiliate of the league.
One of the highlights of the year’s activities for the League is the Annual Conference, held each November in Atlantic City. Commercial, government, and association exhibits display the latest products and services for municipal government. League attendees are also welcome to benefit from over 100 panels, clinics, workshops, and other sessions conducted by the League and the 18 associations of technical and professional employees allied with it. NJRPA sponsors a number of CEU sessions at the League Conference each year. The conference will take place November 16-18, 2021.
